1. David was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up in Pupukea, Hawaii. Jack Johnson grew up just donw the street and went to school with David’s brother. Small world, right?

3. David played the ukulele before he played the guitar
4. Prefers quiet nights at home to noisy clubs. But will be seen at the Tool concert.
5. Recorded “Ego” in Southern Florida with Kelley Dolan (producer). Musicians include Debbie Spring on Viola (she plays with Shakira), Goetz Kujack drums (he plays with Sammy Figeroa), Rusty Taylor on upright (he plays with Enrique Iglesias) Phil McCarthur on electric bass and the mixing board (he just got off the road with Ricky Martin) and Kelley of course on piano, vocals and clarinet.
6. To date, David’s largest audience happened at Tiananmen Square in Beijing. According to David, “They flocked by the hundreds when I whipped out the guitar.”
7. Sounds like: Damien Rice (sometimes), Jeff Buckley (sometimes) and Jack Johnson- he promises that that he learned nothing from Jack Johnson living down the street, maybe it was just the hawaiian lifestyle?
